Dietitian

Aneesa - BSc Dietetics UWC - Registered Dietician with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics, Diploma in HIV/TB management and 15 years experience in patient care. She is a trained baby friendly hospital assessor, which means that she trains nurses and patients on breastfeeding and infant feeding practices.

Having worked in hospitals and clinics across the Western cape, North West and Gauteng provinces her years of experience has made her versatile in the world of nutrition, allowing her to broaden her scope to curriculum content development and training.

She currently works with the University of the Western Cape and the Department of Health on a national study on the dietary intake of South Africans.

Her special interests are: diabetes chronic diseases of lifestyle feeding for special needs allergies picky eating and lactation management/ infant feeding
